Young Adult Advent Gathering

Tis the season and hark the herald angel and prepare the way….!

We hope that your preparations for the birth of Jesus are going well and that you are having a blessed and fruitful Advent season so far!

We would love to gather together to reflect on our Advent season and then think beyond…

Because what happens next… sometimes when we hit Boxing Day we can feel like it is all over… so we make a turkey sandwich, finish off the cheese, and then live that bizarre time in between Christmas Day and New Year in a Quality Street haze…

Soooo, we want to get together in the last few days of Advent to reflect on how Christmas changed EVERYTHING and that we need to live that transformation waaayyy beyond the magical day of the 25th…

We are a Church that is good at celebrating and we will be exploring what the Christmas Octave is all about (… spoiler alert – it means we deffo should not feel guilty about feasting looong after the big day) and whether we should really be taking down our decorations before January 9th (not a typo, JAN 9TH!!)

So let’s pour ourselves a glass of our favourite tipple (gin or tea, that is the question!) turn on the Christmas lights, grab a blanket and join other young adults from around the Diocese to share in an evening of prayer, inspiring reflections, a chance to chat and worship together..
