Lux is an annual residential Catholic retreat for young people of secondary school age. Each year the ‘Lux’ weekends are given a theme and this year’s theme is ‘Dive’.

Places are truly limited and this popular event gets sold out in weeks. Please DO NOT MISS OUT!

When: Feb 9th – 11th 2024
Where: King’s Park Conference Centre, Northampton
Cost: £125 per person

Your place will be reserved on receipt of a deposit of £50.00

Refund Policy – Refunds will be made for cancellations that are made in writing, within 30 days of the start of the event, less the £50 deposit.

  • Participants need to be between 11 and 18 years old
  • (Please give details of the medication)
  • Please provide details (if applicable) of any food or medicine allergies.
  • Please provide details (if applicable) of any other medical information which it would help us to know. Please detail any ongoing investigations or concerns.
  • Please provide details of any specific/additional needs.
  • Please provide the name, address and telephone number of your GP.
  • Please provide details of any dietary requirements (e.g. vegetarian, gluten free, no fish etc.)
  • I, the parent/guardian, give permission for the young person named to travel to take part in LUX.Dive and all the activities organised during the weekend.
  • I agree that I will arrange appropriate transport to and from the venue
  • I understand that group/activity photographs may be taken during the event, in line with Diocesan policy. I give my consent to this and their use in fulfilling the aims of RC Diocese of Northampton.
  • I acknowledge the need for them to behave responsibly and will ensure that they are aware of their expectation to behave in accordance with the enclosed Code of Conduct.
  • I will inform the activity organisers if they come into any infectious diseases up to 4 weeks before the activity
  • I understand in the event of an illness or accident, every effort will be made by the event leader or their assistants to contact me.
  • If for whatever reason this is not possible, I agree for my son/daughter receiving medication as instructed and any emergency dental, medical or surgical treatment, including anesthetic or blood transfusion, as considered necessary by the medical authorities present.
  • Your personal details given will be stored and used by NYMO for the purposes of running and administering LUX.Dive. They will not otherwise be disclosed outside of NYMO. Details of how we process your data, and your rights, are on the full Privacy Notice which is on the Diocesan/NYMO website.
  • If the young person is over 12 years old, we require their consent for their details provided in this booking form to be used and shared

  • At NYMO, we expect that all persons attending our events uphold the values of our faith. Therefore, we ask all attendees (and parents where necessary) to read and agree to the following code of conduct. 1. We treat all human beings with the dignity deserved by being a child of God. This will be obvious by our language, behaviour, physical interactions and written words. 2. We look after ourselves and other. This is shown by not bringing any illegal substances, alcohol, cigarettes or weapons of any kind. 3. We respect other people’s property. This will be obvious through our care for buildings, furniture and belongings. 4. We respect the opinions of others. This will be obvious through our interactions and conversations. We will listen and reflect to the thoughts of others. 5. We respect the hard work that goes into planning events. This will be obvious by our commitment to timely payment, attendance and punctuality. We acknowledge that the community is made up of lots of peoples and our actions can have an adverse effect on the larger group. 6. We love technology and respect its power. Therefore, we use it at the appropriate time in a respectful way. We seek the permission of all persons before using their image in any way for any reason. 7. We are patient. This will be obvious by our care for those who are different to us. We encourage and include all persons regardless of age, gender, race or abilities. 8. We are considerate to leadership. This will be obvious through our willingness to follow instruction. To communicate any disagreement in a productive manner.
  • I have read and understood the above Code of Conduct and commit to uphold this during LUX.Dive. I understand that if I do not uphold this code, I may be sent home from the event.
