2020 was a year, wasn’t it?! Lockdown was hard. We had to find new routines. We missed our friends, our family – we missed normal life.
We don’t know what 2021 will look like or what challenges we will be asked to face. But we, as Catholics, are so lucky. We don’t have to face these alone. Belief in God doesn’t mean we will never face hardships. We don’t have a Fairy Godmother who can magic our pain away. Instead, we have a Warrior. We have a God who fights for us and who fights along side us. We have a God who gives us strength and courage and VALOUR.
During our epic Lux. Valour weekend, we will be exploring what it means to be a young person of great bravery. How we can walk into the unknown of this New Year, confident that we are “not given a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power.” 2 Timothy 1:7.
Let’s discover what God-given courage feels like and how we can learn to be Warriors when we are struggling. As the Psalmist said:“In Your strength I can crush an army. With my God I can scale any wall.”
Naturally we are heading online for our Lux.Valour Weekend but you can still expect amazing talks, fun small groups, moving times of prayer, ridiculous games and a theme night!!
There is even the chance to get hold of your very first Lux T-shirt!!
So what are you waiting for! Sign up today for a weekend you won’t forget.
Check back here in the new year for hints and information about the program!
