   So you’re getting confirmed?!
Join us at one of our Blaze days for an engaging and fast-paced day of fun! 
What’s it all about?

You are going to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, at your Confirmation, and all the blessings that follow. It’s kind of a big deal. You have probably been going along to your church and doing some sessions to help you prepare and understand Confirmation a bit more. As part of this preparation, hundreds of young people are getting together for Blaze. There are going to be 3 Blaze events this year, one in Northampton (Blaze North), one in Luton (Blaze Central), and one in Slough (Blaze South).

Blaze gives you and others preparing for Confirmation, from across your local area, the opportunity to come together and to be encouraged as you prepare for the big day. There’s going to be drama, music, interactive workshops, prayer and Mass with the Bishop. There’s plenty to do and see, including a chance to get into slightly smaller groups and have a meet and greet with Bishop David. It’s a good chance to ask questions about Confirmation, the Church, and God.

The cost of the day is £13.

Very last thing. You will need to bring a packed lunch. See you there Blazers!

FAQ

How do I book?

To book on you must be part of a group. Speak to your confirmation catechist about getting added to a group.

Catechists, you can book your group on by clicking on the button for your area at either the top or the bottom of this page to be taken to the relevant booking page.

When are the 3 events?

Blaze North (Thomas Becket school, Northampton) will be taking place on Saturday 1st June 2024. 11am-4pm.

Blaze Central (Cardinal Newman School, Luton) will be taking place on Saturday 15th June 2024. 11am-4pm.

Blaze South (St Joseph’s RC High School, Slough) will be taking place on Saturday 11th May 2024. 11am-4pm.

Which Blaze event do I choose?

If you are in the north of our diocese (North-Northamptonshire, Northampton, Milton Keynes) then please book on to Blaze North which will be held at Thomas Becket School in Northampton.

If you are in centre of our diocese (Luton, Bedford, Dunstable, Flitwick) then your closest event will be Blaze Central at Cardinal Newman School in Luton.

If you are in the South of our diocese (Aylesbury, South-Buckinghamshire, Chiltern, Slough), then please book on to Blaze South held at St Joseph’s RC High School, Slough.

Do I have to attend the event in my area?

Due to restricted numbers at each venue, places will be allocated for those in closest geographical area first.

If you want to attend one of the other Blaze events, and not the one closest to you, then please get in touch with us prior to booking.

Do I need to pay in full to book a place?

Yes please as spaces are limited, we need to make sure everyone has booked online and paid upfront.

What happens if I need to cancel my place (refund policy)?

If you have already booked on with your confirmation group, but things change and you can no longer make it, then please reach out to your group leader as soon as possible. Group leaders, if you have cancellations please get in contact with us via email.

Our refund policy is as follows:

Cancellation 6 weeks or more in advance – full refund

Cancellation up to 4 weeks in advance – 70% refund

Cancellation up to 2 weeks in advance – 50% refund

Cancellation 2 weeks or less – no refund an be given as we won’t be able to fill the place
