Lux is an annual residential Catholic retreat for young people of secondary school age. Each year the ‘Lux’ weekends are given a theme and this year’s theme is ‘VOX’.
‘Vox’ is Latin for voice. In England and Wales, 2020 is a year for us, as Catholics to focus on the word of God in scripture, the year is called ‘The God Who Speaks’.
Often, at NYMO we are asked “Do you actually hear God telling you what to do?” or “Can you hear God’s voice?” The answer is ‘Yes’!
The words of the bible are the word of God – God’s voice. The more we read, listen and understand the bible, the closer we understand God. This understanding enables us to interpret what God is saying to us. Interpreting NOT guessing!
Through lively activities, small group friendships, engaging inputs and great fun, ‘Lux.Vox’ will explore how we can engage with the beauty of God’s words to interpret His plan for our lives.
The next Lux weekend is happening on Friday 31st January – 2nd February 2020.
Bookings for Lux.Vox is now OPEN and places are limited – a waiting list is always assembled for those who miss out. Lux costs £105 and happens at the Kings Park Centre in Northampton.
Transport is available from Slough and Luton designated pick up points.
