"The time you spend with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is the best time that you will spend on earth. Each moment will deepen your union with him and make your soul evalastingly more glorious and beautiful in heaven, and will bring about an everlasting peace on earth"
Blessed Teresa of Calcutta

Mary is always pointing us towards Jesus and this is also true in Lourdes. Much of our attention during the pilgrimage would seem to be on Mary however this is to help us to see Jesus more closely. Any pilgrimage to Lourdes will include an opportunity for Adoration. In Lourdes we will have the chance to follow Jesus (Blessed Sacrament) through the domain area and into the underground basillica in procession. During this procession we have our eyes fixed on Jesus, leading us. Once in the Basillica, we take a moment to sit before Jesus, truly present with us.

Many of the miracles in Lourdes happen during the Blessed Sacrament Procession.

There are other times for these intimate moments with Jesus; when we visit the parish church or in the Adoration tent on the prairy.

Some of the things to think about during adoration are... Take time to get yourself ready, give thanks to God, meditate on the stations of the cross, bring all your needs and those of others before Jesus and finally, praise Him.

"The rosary is my favourite prayer. A marvelous prayer! Marvellous in its simplicity and its depth... Against the background of the words 'Ave Maria' the principle events of the life of Jesus Christ pass before the eyes of the soul... At the same time our heart can embrace in the decades of the Rosary all the events that make up the lives of individuals, families, nations, the Church, and all mankind: our personal concerns and those of our neighbour, especially those who are closest to us, who are dearest to us. Thus the simple prayer of the Rosary marks the rhythm of human life"
